Allergy

Please ask for a suitable room before arrival if you have any allergies.

Animals

We do allow cats/dogs in some rooms. This is important to book in advance and needs to be specified on your reservation.

Breakfast

Is included in all room prices. It is a continental breakfast buffet and lasts from 07:00-10:00 all days.

Car Rental

We recommend guests to rent a car while staying in Alta or Finnmark and especially when staying at Kvenvikmoen Hotel due to the distance to the city centre, 10km.
We recommend AVIS if you would like to rent a car here, they are reliable and have great cars.

Children

Children from 0-3 years stay for free. If you need a babycot please let us know so we can reserve one for you. Our outdoor areas are very childfriendly.

Camping

We do allow tents and caravans are welcome, for prices and availability please send us a request.

Hostelling International

We are members of Hostelling International and members there will receive a 15% discount on their rooms price if they reserve at our hotel.

Kitchen

We have a guestkitchen free for all guests, some rooms also have their own kitchens. From 2010 there might not be a guest kitchen any more due to technical problems, please send a request if this is something you require for your stay.

Meals

We serve a light lunch and dinner every night in the high season, 15th of May to 15th of September

Midnightsun

Can be seen in Alta from middle of May to end of July. The Midnight Sun means that the sun does not set below the horizon and therefore you will be able to see it all day and night (unless its cloudy). This means there will be no darkness during summer and you can do many activities like golf all night.

Northern Lights

The best time to see the Aurora Borealis or Northern Light as they are often called is from December to March, but you can spot them as early as September and until the end of April. Kvenvikmoen is a particularily good place to see the polar lights as we have little light around to interfere and you will therefore see it much brighter outside our hotel.

Parking

There is a large parkinglot outside, free for all our guests. No problem for busparking or other large vehicles.

Transportation

- Plane
The closest airport is Alta Lufthavn, and both Norwegian and SAS fly directly from Oslo to Alta. The airport is a 20 minute ride from Kvenvikmoen, around 15 km in distance. Few bussen to the hotel but you can book a pick up at the airport when you reserve your room.
- Bus
You can get to Alta daily from Tromsø, North Cape and Hammerfest. Try the webpages TIRB and FFR for more information regarding prices and times. The busstation is in the city centre of Alta, around 10 km from Kvenvikmoen. If you arrive from Tromsø, let the busdriver know you are staying at Kvenvikmoen, and he will drop you off right outside the hotel.
